HP 2133 Mini-note Drivers
You can get all the HP 2133 Mini-note drivers for Windows XP on this page. Getting the sound drivers to work is a little complicated, but doable.
Windows XP Drivers
Official XP drivers from HP here. There are issues with the sound drivers that HP has for XP, so use the patch and Vista drivers provided below.
Ethernet NIC drivers: download
Sound: install this patch first, and then these are the actual sound drivers. The sound drivers are actually for Vista, but they will still work. After you uncompress the files, the installer will fail because you don’t have Vista so you’ll have to manually install them. Go to the Device manager, and double click the question mark next to the sound device. Click on Update Driver and browse to the location of where you uncompressed the drivers at. Select the file in there and you’re set! open msconfig (Start > Run > msconfig > OK), go to the Startup tab and then uncheck the box next to smax4pnp to disable that annoying error when windows starts.
HP Quick Launch Buttons: download
Once you’ve gotten the ethernet drivers installed you can get everything but the sound from Windows Update. Do not download the Bluetooth drivers from Windows Update though. Download these instead. (Note you can if you want, but the default MS bluetooth drivers don’t always work so hot with some devices)
