		<description>Yes, it's definetely the ffdshow codec that does a great work!!

..as far as I know, hardware acceleration shouldn't work with the normal version of Media Player Classic.. but it should work with the Media Player Classic Home Cinema edition: http://tibrium.neuf.fr/
It's free too!

Josh, maybe you could try it and tell us if there's some other improvement.. :)</description>

		<description>I think it's just a matter of the ffdshow codec that is also a part of this codec compilation.
It should support the VIA chipset right away, so you are getting hardware acceleration out of the chipset. 
It should support mpeg2, mpeg4 and wmv9
not sure about any hd encoder though</description>
