well ruckusnuts kinda proves me wrong on the keen gamers comment. hadn't read his story and am surprised by it, but i don't know what those games are like.

still, i've read plenty comments like that from other users - that generally its not great for gaming. am certainly not having much luck myself at the moment. but i hope it works for you!

but don't expect the games to run smoothly at all times. many games don't work at all on this computer. (e.g sims 2 and i think i just read someone saying civilization IV) they said as a guideline: games pre-2003. definitely not a machine for keen gamers.

i was looking at buying a mini note sometime in the near future. So let me get this straight, to game on this fine device, is it just a matter of plugging in an external DVD drive, installing the game, then simply applying a cd crack to play it without the disc? I would really only be playing Rome total war, star wars empire at war, AOE 2 and football manager 2008. All of these run fine on my current (piece of sh*t) laptop which has an integrated 64mb of video ram.
Cheers for the help in advance

Are you playing Guild Wars on Windows XP or Windows Vista? I play GW and this game's performance in PvE would interest me too, especially if it has better performance on Windows XP.

I've been playing Guild Wars at about 13 fps, which is perfectly playable. Each match is pvp, 4 against 4. The first few seconds, as everyone enters the game, are at 6-7 fps, but as soon as the match starts and the gates open I go to 13 fps. Playing on this computer offers nearly no disadvantage in competitive pvp.
